The NorCal Conference has established itself as one of the premier conferences in the country in recent decades and for good reason. Three different teams from the NorCal have represented the northern half of the state in the last seven California state title games, including state championships won in 2008 (Butte), 2007 (San Francisco) and 2003 (San Francisco).
