Junior QB has Auburn No. 1
Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) quarterback Cord Sandberg was one of the first prospects in the 2013 class to receive an offer from Auburn. The Tigers extended a verbal offer before the 6-foot-3 205-pound Sandberg ever took a snap as a junior.
Since then, in nine games this season, he has shown why Auburn was so interested so early.
Sandberg has led Manatee to a 7-2 record, with the losses coming against two nationally ranked teams in Our Lady of Good Counsel in Maryland and Bosco Prep in New Jersey. He's been successful through the air and on the ground.
Sandberg has completed 114-of-155 passes (73.5 percent) for 1,338 yards, 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions, and rushed 91 times for 471 yards (5.2 avg.) and eight scores....
