Thomas builds relationship on visit
Jake Thomas is another local product that Mississippi State brought in for an official visit this past weekend.
The Columbus three-star offensive tackle has made the 30-minute drive to the Bulldogs campus countless times so the visit was more about building a relationship with his future teammates.
"It was great," Thomas said. "I had a lot of fun with a bunch of guys that I'll be playing with next year. We did a ton of eating and looking around. We mostly got to hang out with the players and see what they are like since we're going to be with them for the next few years."
Thomas was hosted on his visit by MSU center Dillon Day.
The 6-foot-6, 307-pounder got his first preview of what it would be like playing alongside fellow visitors Ashton Shumpert, Kent Flowers, Deon Mix, Chris Jones, Gabe Myles, Tyre'oune Holmes and Brandon Wells at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic in December.
