It's no secret that one position that could stand to be upgraded on Texas Tech's defense is linebacker. More speed and athleticism is needed on the outside and everyone understands that.

So it's no wonder that the second offer sent out by Texas Tech to a junior (2008) was to a prospect that has those qualities, Nederland's Dravannti Johnson.

Johnson is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect that currently plays defensive end for his high school but projects to an outside linebacker in college.
