Coast to coast Pokes

After the big win against Syracuse on Tuesday, Oklahoma State's basketball team takes it undefeated record from the east coast to the west coast to take part in the San Diego Slam.

The classic setup features two games, the first of which being No. 22 OSU vs. Ball State at 6:30 central time. After that, No. 14 Arizona takes on host San Diego State at 8:30 p.m. The game will be televised via Cox in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and on Suddenlink in Stillwater.

Before looking ahead to the Cardinals (3-5), it's worth glancing back at the Cowboys' big 72-68 win over Syracuse. The win put OSU (10-0) on the map as far as getting national recognition. Mario Boggan had 21 points against the Orange and JamesOn Curry posted 20. Freshman wonder Obi Muonelo added in 11.

And while the Pokes built up a nice lead in the second half and appeared to have the game won, the Cuse fought back hard and closed to within a point in the final minutes. But Curry, who suffered a mighty sophomore slump last season, drained a huge three-pointer to put OSU up by four after not scoring in the previous three and a half minutes.
