Tigers report for bowl practice
LSU began practice for its Sugar Bowl game against Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon.
Tigers coach Les Miles was satisfied with the condition of his team, which last hit the field on the day after Thanksgiving when it beat Arkansas 31-26.
"Our throwing and catching and our ball-handling was pretty good," said Miles, after his team worked fewer than two hours in the Indoor Practice Facility. The key was we were in pretty good shape. I'm not ready to say we're in real good shape yet. We'll get there."
LSU worked out in shells Sunday. The Tigers will practice daily through Friday before taking a three-day break for Christmas. LSU will resume preparations for the Fighting Irish on Dec. 26. The Tigers will arrive in New Orleans on Dec. 28.
