Jackson looking for new opp

Twists and turns are all part of recruiting, and no prospect has had more of them during his senior year than Eugene (Ore.) running back Brandon Jackson. A 5-foot-11, 192-pound former two-way star for 2005 State Champion Marist high school, Jackson competed in just 9 games in 2006 for the Spartans, but still earned the co-Offensive Player of the Year award in the Sky-Em League after totaling nearly 2,000 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns.

One of the three most highly recruited prospects in the Beaver state, Jackson not only had his season cut short, but a potential scholarship with Cal was lost in the process. After an incident at Marist, which can not be cited due to Jackson's age, the senior left the Eugene based school in early November, but has continued his studies.
