Fort Myers (Fla.) Riverdale three-star tight end Mat Williams committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks over the weekend shortly after returning from an official visit to Louisville. The Cardinals had led for Williams for much of the recruiting process, but the Gamecocks were able to win his services in the end.

Williams chose the Gamecocks over offers from Louisville, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, South Florida and others.
