Rivalry continues in postseason
Top-seeded Kansas (28-4, 14-2) opened day two in the Big 12 conference tournament with an impressive 64-47 victory of the Oklahoma Sooners (16-15, 6-10). Just two games ago, the Jayhawks squeaked out a two-point victory in Norman, Okla. This time, Kansas overcame a sluggish first half to blow out the Sooners led by Brandon Rush, who scored 16-points. Following KU's victory, in-state rival Kansas State (22-10, 10-6) won their opening game, setting up round three of the Sunflower Showdown at 1:00 pm CST.
When it comes to postseason tournaments, anything can happen. As soon as the meeting between Kansas and Oklahoma was set, you would be hard pressed to say one team was a lock to win.
