With so many starters returning, the Trojans won't have to rely heavily on the incoming freshmen to make significant contributions.

However, with 3-year starter Ryan Kalil now in the NFL, the center spot will be up for grabs this fall. Kristofer O'Dowd arrives on campus in June with plans to push the veterans and challenge for that starting center spot.

The last several months have been much more mellow for O'Dowd, especially after the frenzy of attention around signing day.

"It is really laid back now, which is good," O'Dowd told USCFootball.com. "It is my last week of school and I am ready to graduate."
