Owning LA for a day
Ridiculous, absurd and unbelievable were a few of the adjectives repeatedly used to describe Patrick Johnson's performance on Friday at the University of Southern California's Rising Stars Camp.
The 6-foot-1, 193-pound all-everything cornerback out of Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely made a splash because of his talent and his wavering commitment to the University of Miami.
Johnson's solid verbal commitment may be significantly less solid after his visit to USC and his official scholarship offer from head coach Pete Carroll.
"My dad wanted me to come out to the camp," Johnson, who ran a sub 4.4 second 40-yard dash, said. "I wanted to get to see the coaches and the campus. It was a great opportunity, and I had a great time with the other players and coaches.
