Practice Notebook: Dawgs wrap things up
Georgia walk-on running back Kalvin Daniels is a perfect example of what can happen if someone is allowed to follow their dreams. You never know what might happen.
Growing up in Eastman where he played at Dodge County High, Daniels always dreamt of the day when he too would wear the Red and Black.
So, when tight ends coach David Johnson offered Daniels an opportunity to come to Georgia as a preferred walk-on, Daniels jumped at the opportunity.
Little did the true freshman know that he'd already be playing a small role on the team as he's gotten into two games for the Bulldogs, including last week's 45-17 win over Ole Miss, in which he came off the bench to rush for 43 yards. He saw his first action against Western Carolina, but carried the football just one time for 1 yard.
