MSU COMMITS: Kilgore, another versatile WR
Trey Kilgore is heading to Michigan State after a fabulous career of wide receiver at Cincinnati St. Xavier.
"I've always dreamt of playing football at a high level," he said. "When I started getting offers, it was real exciting. Just the whole recruiting process was fun. When Michigan State and some of the higher caliber teams, like the Big Ten, started offering me, it's somewhere I'd want to play for the exposure.
"When Michigan State offered me, I saw what the school was all about, especially on my visit there. After seeing the school and knowing how they are academically, and their success on the football field, it was a no-brainer."
Kilgore also seriously looked at Iowa, Boston College and Kentucky.
"He's long and athletic," said Kilgore's high school coach Steve Specht. "He's very versatile. They'll be able to use him in different ways, whether it be on the offensive or defensive side of the ball or as a kick returner. He's a competitor. He has a lot to offer Michigan State from a versatility standpoint. He's athletic enough that you could put him in the secondary if you wanted him there."
