This week in the USCFootball.com War Room we discuss some of the things this Trojan team has done to bounce back from the Oregon loss.

We also unveil some interesting recruiting drama, including how a popular commit was negatively targeted and why Dillon Baxter could help the USC offense sooner than expected.

More details of what is inside:

  • Recruiting got a little more interesting this week, when a new four-star athlete popped up on USC's radar. We discuss the realities of this new offer and if this truly local kid would rather attend college further away from the nest.

  • San Diego (Calif.) four-star running back and Trojan commit Dillon Baxter has been tearing it up on the football field this season, but he is also working hard in the classroom. We talk about why that extra work could give the USC offense a new look sooner rather than later.

  • The closer we get to signing day, the more out of state recruiting drama unfolds. In the War Room we talk about some of the negative recruiting tactics used to sway some out of state kids away from USC and also give an update on visits players are planning to make to Troy.

  • Former USC linebacker Frankie Telfort had to end his football career before it got started because of a heart condition. Now there is a glimmer of hope for Telfort possibly putting pads on again, but is it worth the risk?

  • Despite hiring a new special teams coach, USC has struggled in certain aspects of special teams, especially kick coverage. We talk about what the team did this week to alleviate that problem.

  • Plus plenty more!

The one rule we have for the War Room is simply that everything that is reported here should stay here and on The Peristyle. Sometimes the info is sensitive enough that it simply does not need to be passed on beyond the doors of this thread.

Please honor this request and we will continue to do our best to provide all of our subscribers with a great perspective on the program.

This is a special feature for USCFootball.com subscribers only. The reason why it is posted on the premium board is that it is the only way to ensure that the info stays exclusive to the Trojan fans.
