Players-only summer workouts have kicked off so this week in the USCFootball.com War Room we chat with players returning from injuries and address an MIA high profile player.

We also have some good news/bad news regarding incoming freshmen and bring you the latest scholarship offers including one that may induce a decommitment to a Pac-10 Rival school.

More details of what is inside:

  • There is a new NCAA rule regarding incoming freshmen and working out in the summer with the team. We have the latest on how this will affect USC.

  • We break down the three latest offers given out by the Trojan coaching staff to players from Texas, Washington and California.

  • One of those offers sent out by Pete Carroll is most likely going to result in that player decommitting from a Pac-10 rival school.

  • The USC Skills Camp is coming up, but there is a schedule conflict that could postpone the quarterback battle to determine who gets a scholarship offer.

  • One high profile quarterback has not been attending summer workouts so far. We get reaction from some of the players and provide a theory as to why he may not be around.

  • Center Kris O'Dowd is coming back from a shoulder injury and is currently ahead of schedule. We talk to him about his recovery and what he has left to do.

  • He may not be as animated as Mark Sanchez, but sophomore Aaron Corp looks like he has a different look to him now that he is the starter. We get player reaction to Corp's new swagger on the field.

  • Two other players coming off of injury spent part of their free time in a unique way, they got more tattoos.

  • Plus plenty more!

The one rule we have for the War Room is simply that everything that is reported here should stay here and on The Peristyle. Sometimes the info is sensitive enough that it simply does not need to be passed on beyond the doors of this thread.

Please honor this request and we will continue to do our best to provide all of our subscribers with a great perspective on the program.

This is a special feature for USCFootball.com subscribers only. The reason why it is posted on the premium board is that it is the only way to ensure that the info stays exclusive to the Trojan fans.

This will only work if everyone helps make it work by not copying or reprinting the information.
