Velltray Jefferson didn't hesitate at all last summer. The same day USC offered him, the 3-star wide receiver/tight end prospect from Edison High School in Fresno, Calif., quickly committed to the Trojans.
"I've always wanted to go there," he said at the time. "... I've just been a USC fan since I was in elementary school. That's just always been a school I've wanted to go to since then."
But on Thursday night, Jefferson decommitted from the Trojans. As it turns out, there was more to it than that.
