The dominos are beginning to fall this week for Ohio's class of 2013. A handful of juniors have recently seen their stock soar with early verbal offers and the latest is Austintown-Fitch two-way lineman Billy Price. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect picked up his first offer and it was a big one, coming from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

"I mean wow, you have to be astonished at something like that," said Price of his first offer. "Ohio State, that's just amazing. I was in total shock."

A versatile prospect, Price is a player that could project just about anywhere on the defensive or offensive line. Ohio State hasn't specified exactly which spot the offer is at and that probably won't be worked out until at least the end of Price's junior season.

"They didn't (specify what position)," Price said. "I've only played varsity football for one year so I don't think I've really figured out what my specialty is. I think this should be my break through year to sort of decide if I'm an offensive lineman or a defensive lineman."

Ohio State is one of the schools that Price is most familiar with at this early stage and while the big lineman is clearly interested, he's not going to make any knee-jerk reactions.

"The program is obviously awesome," he said. "It's one of the top football programs across the United States. As far as my chances with them, I'm not going to jump ship right now. I'm going to enjoy my next two years and see what else comes along and choose the school that will make me happy and where I'll be the best academically and athletically."

Price was one of the big names on hand at the Ohio State NIKE Camp on Saturday and in limited reps he showed flashes of his tremendous potential.

"I played a lot on the offensive side of the ball at the camp so it was a lot of learning for me," he said. "The defensive linemen were all great athletes. They were fast, strong, big guys. Playing against competition like that was awesome. The facilities were nice, they were just beautiful. It's one of the top facilities in the country in my opinion."

Ohio State isn't the only school pursuing Price and this certainly will be the first of many offers. Price says he is getting mail from dozens of schools around the nation but listed Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State as schools that have shown the most early interest.
