One on one with Eric Cooper, Jr.'s David Bagga sat down with 2013 recruit Eric Cooper Jr. to discuss his upcoming high school season, his commitment to Arizona, playing for his father, former Wildcat Eric Cooper Sr., and the excitement of playing along side Grant Jerrett.

On continuing the tradition of going to Arizona - I'm really excited to have the opportunity to not just go there but to play basketball as well. My dad played there for a year in the 1980's and he saved all of his basketball clothes and gear he had so I like wearing it. I want to have a part of Arizona from the past and when I can get my stuff once I'm there I can have a part of Arizona from different generations.

On playing for his dad Eric Cooper Sr. - He's on me constantly, everyday, pointing out things like what I can do to better every aspect of my game. He tells me to keep working hard and is really preparing me for life as well as college basketball.

On the pressure he feels since he committed to Arizona - I'm really just going to continue to work hard and be ready so when I get there I'll be prepared and know what to expect. I really want to be as successful as I can be and I believe the key will be for me to keep working hard and staying focused. Another great thing about already being committed is that I can learn the system and get prepared to play in the system by working out and watching the team play on TV as much as I can. I really just have to focus on one college.

On playing with future Wildcat Grant Jerrett - It's cool because he knows my game and I know his game, I know where to get him the ball and vise versa. We push each other to get better every day in practice and every game and I think it's going to be even more fun to play with him at the next level. I can learn a lot from Grant because he's a year ahead of me so he can tell me what to expect before I get down there.

On what the fans will expect from him - I'm a team first guy and I try to work as hard as I can. They're going to get somebody that works hard and gives 110% effort everyday and every game and they are going to get someone who wants to win and make his teammates better and really do whatever Coach Miller wants me to do.

On where Arizona is headed under Sean Miller - The program is on a high right now because he's winning and he's bringing in big time recruits this year and he's doing everything the right way. I just think Arizona in general is on its way up right now. will have more on future wildcats Eric Cooper Jr. and Grant Jerret as they prepare for their basketball seasons.
