Junior OL will visit BC soon

Brad Henson picked up an early verbal offer from Boston College so he followed the Eagles closely this year. EagleAction.com caught up with Henson early this week and it's clear that BC is in a strong position early.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound guard from Toms River (N.J.) Monsignor Donovan helped his high school to the playoffs for the first time in years and helped solidify himself as one of the region's top junior linemen.

During the season Henson visited a few schools. Up next? Boston College.

"I'm planning on taking a trip to Boston College sometime soon," Henson told EagleAction.com this week.

"I talked to Coach (Mike) Dawson in the past. He actually came to my school a week or so ago. I like BC a lot because it's a good school academically and I've been going to camps there since my freshman year. I've got a good relationship with Coach (Sean) Devine."

BC's record this year didn't seem to hurt Henson's chances.

"That didn't really affect me," Henson explained. "They had a lot of young guys playing and teams have to rebuild, so they didn't do anything to hurt their standing with me."

That said, Henson still isn't ready to name any favorites.
