What will Gurley do?

TARBORO, N.C. - Todd Gurley will let the world know where he will play college ball today at 2 p.m., and three different programs will be on the edge of their seats.

Gurley will choose between Georgia, Clemson, and North Carolina State, and it appears, as of now, that the Bulldogs have an edge.

Gurley visited UGA back in the September when the Bulldogs took on South Carolina, and he came away from the visit impressed.

Clemson has emerged as a major player for Gurley, and, according to his Head Coach, Jeff Craddock, Gurley has, "Always wanted to play at Clemson."

North Carolina State appears to be the team that is mentioned the least, but Gurley has made it clear that the Wolfpack are still contenders for his signature.

Gurley's skill set

Gurley is already a big back at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, and he is getting bigger. He is a bit of a late bloomer, and his body has changed a great deal from the beginning of this year until now.

Gurley has very good speed, and solid lateral quickness. He has a strong lower body, and, as he gets bigger, he will get better and better at wearing down defenses.

He is a natural ball carrier in space, and he has the vision and quickness to find space. The three-star prospect knows how to pick up tough yardage, and likes to carry the load.

Gurley needs to work on running with a lower pad level, and his upper body will need to develop if he is going to take a pounding at the next level.

If Gurley chooses UGA

If the Bulldogs are able to land Gurley, they will add a running back to their offense that is different than the rest. Gurley has the combination of size, speed, and natural running ability offensive coordinator Mike Bobo has been missing to this point.

Ken Malcome and Richard Samuel are the only ball carriers with Gurley's size, but they don't have his speed or play making ability.

Isaiah Crowell, Carlton Thomas, and Keith Marshall have the speed and elusiveness to make plays, but none of them have Gurley's size.

Gurley has the ability to be a complete back that can play every down for UGA. He can run with power and get the tough yards, or pick up big chunks of yardage. He can also be a weapon for quarterback Aaron Murray in the passing game.

Prediction

Multiple sources have told UGASports that Gurley will choose the Bulldogs. He has told those sources directly that Georgia is the team where he feels the most comfortable and that is the reason he will choose them.

There has been a ton of buzz that favors Clemson in the last couple of days, and it seems as if some Clemson faithful are confident that he picks the Tigers.

In the end, expect Marshall's recruitment of Gurley to pay huge dividends.

Prediction: Georgia
