Corey Cooper update

Wake Forest is in the market for Raleigh (NC) Millbrook wide receiver Corey Cooper, but are battling with 12 other programs that have offered the 6-foot-1, 192-pound prospect a scholarship.

He said South Carolina is his favorite school.

"I really like them a lot," Cooper said.

Derrick Jackson and Lonnie Galloway are recruiting him for the Demon Deacons.

"They've been recruiting me hard," Cooper said. "I've been talking to them a lot. They e-mail, they write me on Facebook, they write me on Twitter. I guess they're really trying to get me."

"They're recruiting me as a slot receiver. I play outside in high school, but I guess they're recruiting me at slot. They said they need some slot receivers."

Cooper added that he is working to improve his speed and route-running this off-season.

Rivals.com rates Cooper as a three-star recruit and as the nation's No. 45 wide receiver.

Millbrook made it to the first round of the state playoffs, and finished with a 6-8 record.
