Shoemate ready to return

ANAHEIM, Calif. - When looking forward to his junior season, Anaheim Servite receiver D.J. Shoemate thought he'd be using words like thrilling, exciting and rewarding to describe it.

Instead after missing the entire year with fractured foot, words like frustration, anger and disappointment came to mind.

Shoemate, who measured in at 6-foot, and 219 pounds, committed to USC in April of 2006, becoming the first sophomore to ever commit to the Trojans in the Pete Carroll era.
