Future Impact: Baxter
After day two of the Rising Stars Camp, USC extended a scholarship offer to one of the nations top sophomore players in 5-foot-11, 195-pound running back Dillon Baxter.
Baxter accepted the scholarship offer in about the same time it takes him to break the ankles of a would be tackler. Baxter marks the first commitment for the Trojans in 2010.
It doesn't take long to notice Baxter's obvious talent. After an immensely successful year playing varsity football as a freshman at Mission Bay in San Diego (Calif.), Baxter quickly became an internet sensation with his highlight tape which included one spin move after another, and touchdowns running, receiving, and returning kicks.
What separates Baxter from other high school running backs is his footwork and great hands. Baxter is incredibly fluid on the field. His amazing feet allow him to get open in the passing game, and also shake tacklers in the open field.
