Hall commits to NU

Just a day removed from a visit to campus, outside linebacker Nate Hall of Sylvania (Ohio) Southview became the 12th player to join Northwestern's Class of 2014.

After receiving an offer after Northwestern's camp on Sunday, Hall called Pat Fitzgerald on Monday night to verbally commit to the Wildcat head coach.

Hall represents Northwestern's recent emphasis on landing defensive players in this class. After landing just three defenders among its first 10 commitments, Northwestern has now landed two defensive players in a row, with Hall following on the heels of defensive tackle Fred Wyatt.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Hall is the second linebacker in the class, joining Cameron Queiro.

Hall is also the latest commitment to follow a brother to Evanston. His older brother Jimmy Hall is a Wildcat safety entering his redshirt junior year. Cameron Queiro also decided to join his older brother Kyle Queiro, a member of the Wildcats' Class of 2013.

Hall, who has yet to be ranked by Rivals, chose the Wildcats over offers from a host of schools that included Pittsburgh, Akron and Western Michigan.
