Commitment time for Cravens
More than a month ago, Temecula (Calif.) five-star safety Su'a Cravens marked June 6 as a special day.
In addition to it being his mother's birthday, Cravens decided to make Wednesday the date in which he announces his college decision. It's the day he says yes to one school, and no to more than 30 others.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. PST, Cravens will announce his college decision. Cravens has narrowed his vast list of college choices to four schools, UCLA, USC, Michigan and Ohio State.
While he had planned on unofficially visiting Michigan and Ohio State last week, the trip to the Midwest conflicted with finals at Vista Murrieta High School. Cravens has taken recent unofficial visits to UCLA and USC.
"Su'a's grades take priority over recruiting," his father, Kevin Cravens told Rivals.com. "Visits would not have been a big factor in Su'a's choice."
Cravens actually has relatives who have played sports at both schools, with his grandfather, Jack Cravens, committing to the UCLA basketball program under John Wooden before de-committing and signing with BYU.
Cravens' brother, Siaki, was also recruited by UCLA before signing with Hawaii as a defensive end out of Long Beach City College. Cravens cousins, Brynn and Jordan Cameron both attended USC.
Cravens has been quiet about his remaining choices, although his father, Kevin, did explain why each of his final four choices made the final cut before Wednesday's announcement.
"Education is something we stress as a family," said his father. "For us, this decision came down to the schools that addressed education first and football second."
Most school recruiting Cravens have him slated to play safety, although Michigan has talked more about the U.S. Army All-American playing running back in recent weeks.
In his junior season, Cravens rushed for 673 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also caught 20 for 339 yards and more four scores. On defense, Cravens finished with 100 tackles, 11 sacks and three interceptions as a safety.
At 16-years-old, Cravens is on track to graduate from Vista Murrieta in December and enroll at his college of choice in January. Cravens is the nation's No. 8 ranked prospect and the No. 1 ranked safety in the country.
