Crocker considering spring visit to USC

Without question, USC will sign a quality receiver class in 2018. There's just too many name prospects at the position out West for anyone to dispute that.

The Trojans are also recruiting the position aggressively and successfully. While a receiver commit has already come and gone, USC is very much involved for top receivers all across the country.

One of the most impressive prospects they're targeting is Rivals100 wide receiver Isaah Crocker. And as of right now, Crocker says he's very interested in potentially being a Trojan.

"It's a huge school, it's a beautiful school to go to," Crocker told TrojanSports.com when asked about USC. "And knowing that it is one of the top colleges in the country. It's a dream to play at USC just because of the environment and knowing that USC runs L.A. So knowing that I could play with the top players in the country and one of the top schools, that brings a lot of attention and really puts a lot of the future in my eyes."

The product of Inderkum HS in Sacramento, Calif. made a trip to Los Angeles in February and visited USC's campus while he was in town. Since that time, Crocker has been in regular contact with the Trojans.

"Everything is cool," Crocker said. "I have a connection with Josh (Falo) and stuff. And Coach Tee (Martin) has been keeping me solid and keeping me together and hitting me up a lot. So that's got my attention about USC a lot, all the love that they're showing me."

The 6-foot-2 and 170-pounder says Tee Martin envisions using him as an outside receiver in USC's offense. And Martin also envisions hosting Crocker on campus again soon.

"He's just telling me to come down there, he's just recruiting me hard," Crocker said. "He's just telling me how good it would look with me in a jersey and stuff, how they would love for me to be down there."

Crocker says he might visit USC again in the coming weeks.

"Yes and I cannot wait to visit either," Crocker said of an upcoming trip to USC. "USC, I'm definitely (visiting). I don't know if I want to take a visit to UCLA that much, because of just the way they've been recruiting me a lot lately. USC has been recruiting me pretty hard and I do want to visit there but I'm not sure when. Josh (Falo) will let me know and talk to me more about it. And Coach T (Terrance Leonard) from TMP, he'll hook me up because he can go down there anytime. So hopefully soon."

That USC trip may come the weekend of April 8 and 9. That's the date for the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles and Crocker might just be there. If he does make it to Los Angeles that weekend, he confirms he'll visit USC.

He says he's isn't much closer to making a commitment but it's clear that USC is in a group of schools he's considering

"I'm being able to cut off schools because they're not really showing me a lot of connection or showing me a lot of love," Crocker said. "But other than that, I don't really have favorite-favorites at all."

That being said, at the moment, Cal may have a slight edge.

"Cal is my favorite but something can always change," Crocker said. "I'm not planning on going to Cal. It's just a dream school."

Cal really does have a history with Crocker and he confirms that the Golden Bears are recruiting him very hard. His cousin, Worrell Williams, played for Cal and when Crocker was growing up, he regularly attended football games in Berkeley, Calif. He can name former players with ease and he even says that in his early days of football, he drew inspiration from former Cal receiver Nyan Boateng.

But Crocker will look all over the country before making a commitment. He currently holds an impressive number of scholarships offers, including offers from football powers like Nebraska, Notre Dame and USC.
