USC fans should have strong interest in what happened this past weekend at the Rivals100 Five-star Challenge. That's because two USC targets who are both on the verge of five-star status were closely watched by the Rivals.com national team.

We caught up with Rivals.com's Adam Gorney to get his thoughts on Isaac Taylor-Stuart and Penei Sewell. As previously mentioned, both are just mere spots below players ranked as five-stars. We asked Gorney about where they stand in regards to receiving that prestigious fifth star after participating in Indianapolis.

"Taylor-Stuart had an excellent weekend and he'll be seriously discussed for a five-star ranking. Not only is he a physical specimen who's excellent in coverage but he showed his competitiveness all day and looked great during 7on7 play where he virtually shut down one side of the field. When the ball is in the air, Taylor-Stuart is athletic and tough and goes after it, making it difficult on receivers. He also showed off his speed, another important consideration in rankings. Taylor-Stuart won the Fastest on the Field competition and that was even a little unexpected." -Gorney

"Sewell is more of a question mark at this point. He held his own and looked dominant at times. More important than a specific ranking, Sewell proved he can stay at offensive tackle without issue even at 340 or so pounds. Sewell moves well, he's light on his feet and when defensive ends try to bull rush him they got swallowed up. At times he struggled with d-ends getting to the edge and was surprisingly pushed off balance a few times. There's no question he's one of the better offensive tackles in the class so it will be up for discussion." -Gorney
