Jacob Daniel is a Trojan
Fresno (Calif.) defensive tackle Jacob Daniel has committed to USC.
Daniel, who's rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, confirmed the commitment by text message.

Daniel had more than two dozen scholarship offers from schools across the country. But he recently narrowed his list down to USC and Oregon before making his final decision. He recently had a great trip to Oregon, but in the end it just wasn't enough.
The 6-foot-5, 300 pound prospect previously stated that USC was under consideration because of their proximity to his original hometown of Carson (Calif.) and family he still has in the area.
Academics and football were also mentioned as reasons to choose the Trojans.
With the addition of Daniel, USC now has six prospects committed for the class of 2015. According to Rivals.com, Daniel is rated as the 83rd best player in the entire country and the eleventh best in the state.
