Bellflower offensive lineman Damien Mama was the LA NIKE Camp MVP, received a USC scholarship offer and visited the Trojans spring practice on Thursday.
El Cerritos linebacker Derik Calhoun also received a scholarship offer, showing the coaching staff is starting to check out more local prospects.
But will a scholarship offer to one local linebacker hurt the recruitment of another?
Update on a recruiting originally from across the pond, Scanton (Pa.) Lackawanna Community College offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor.
Head coach Lane Kiffin has a plan to even out the coaching staff.
USC athletic director Pat Haden has his hands full with not only football needing to bounce back, but new coaches needed for both men's and women's basketball and baseball.
