Rasul intrigued by USC
Carson, Calif. - - Amir Rasul impressed at the Semper Fi All-American Bowl Sunday night. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound prospect from Coral Gables, Fla. HS tacked two touchdowns in the East’s 28-13 victory over the West.
Rasul, despite a commitment to Florida State did say that he intends to set a date for an official visit to USC.
“I haven’t set a date yet but as soon as I get back to the locker room, I plan on calling (the coaches) and see if I can get something in because I really need to get over to USC,” Rasul said.
The three-star running back admitted that it’s the program’s history of young talent has caught his attention.
“I think they’re a really good school,” he said. “To be honest, they’re playing their freshman from day 1: Iman Marshall, Ronald Jones II and Adoree Jackson. If they keep pushing and keep playing freshmen, they’ll probably be a very good school and that’s what I’ll look into.”
Rasul is also planning official visits to Alabama, Miami (Fla.), and North Carolina.
