USC tour impressed Dedich

Rivals250 center Justin Dedich recently visited USC and received a scholarship offer during that trip. He then returned to campus on April 4, this time with family and with the intention to see every last detail of the school.

"I came up with my family because the coaches wanted to meet my parents and get to know them a bit," Dedich told TrojanSports.com. "And then I never officially toured the entire campus so I wanted to do that too. So that's why I went up, so they could meet my parents and that we could get a tour of the campus and get to see USC."

The 6-foot-2 and 280-pound rising senior from Chaparral HS in Temecula, Calif. says USC left a good impression on him.

"I was definitely surprised," Dedich said of his tour around USC. "I thought the campus was going to be much bigger because of USC being USC. But I forgot that it was a private school and private schools are a little smaller. And I like the smaller campus, it means less walking for us big kids. I just like the tightness of the community there. It's definitely eye-opening and my parents liked it too because they kind of thought it was like an open campus deal and they were surprised at how secluded it was and at how small it was."

He says his family also enjoyed the experience touring the campus and meeting the staff.

"My family liked the school and they liked the coaches," Dedich said. "They felt it was good to get to know Coach (Clay) Helton and Coach (Neil) Callaway. Because that's an important part to them. They wanted to meet the coaches to know who they're kind of giving me off too and what their plan is and how they're going to continue to build me. They like Coach Helton, Coach Callaway and their philosophy on coaching."

This trip left USC in good standing for Dedich before he ventures out and sees a few other schools.

"This trip was definitely helpful for me because I got to see USC," Dedich said. "I'm going to try to visit some other Pac-12 schools and then narrow down my options. But it was definitely a good tour."
