USC visits priority tight end

It’s clear that USC is emphasizing the tight end position in the 2017 class. The Trojans have been all over the country during the evaluation period, recruiting and offering scholarships to big, physical, pass catchers. Recently, USC also stopped by Inderkum HS in Sacramento, Calif. to see Josh Falo.

“It was pretty recent, it wasn’t too long ago,” Falo told TrojanSports.com when asked about USC’s trip to his school.

The four-star tight end is happy to see Trojan coaches on his campus. He says that USC is a school he’s interested in.

“USC is pretty up there in my recruiting,” Falo said. “It’s a really good school, I love the educational program and they send a lot of tight ends to the NFL.”

Clay Helton is recruiting the 6-foot-4, 216-pound prospect to USC and has been involved with him for some time. Helton was even stopping by Falo’s school during the spring evaluation period in 2015.

Falo has also been to USC multiple times. He’s now well-versed in all the happenings of the Trojans’ program.

“They stuck with me for a while,” Falo said. “They talk to me a lot about their program and what they want to do. They keep staying on me.”

That’s why Falo was excited when he did get a scholarship offer from USC in March of this year.

“It’s a blessing knowing that they’re a good program in the Pac-12, knowing that they have interest in me and they believe in me,” Falo said of the scholarship offer from USC.

Falo was at USC’s Rising Stars Camp last season and he’s considering visiting campus again for the camp this year. At the very least, he wants to get back to USC again for another trip.

“I believe I’ll take another visit, hopefully an official visit,” Falo said.

That talk is still a little premature. Falo is a while away from having any trips set for the coming months.

“I’m trying to figure out all my visits for the summer,” Falo said.

He’s also not close to making a commitment. Falo says he’ll do that by the end of this upcoming football season. He says he’ll likely release a list of favorite schools shortly before he announces his college choice.
