Huntington Beach High offensive lineman Justin Tauanuu committed to Stanford back in June, and in the days leading up to that pledge he had continued to discuss how much he liked USC.

He planned to take an official visit prior to that commitment announcement but eventually it never materialized. That was until the fall arrived, and Tauanuu decided the timing was right to take another close look at the Trojans.

He was on campus the weekend of the game against Arizona earlier this month, and USC remains in strong position even though Tauanuu remains committed to the Cardinal.

"Right now, I'm still flipping between SC and Stanford," he said. "Even though I'm committed to Stanford, I've still be talking with SC."

USC's coaching staff has continued to pursue the four-star prospect, but Tauanuu says much of the continued interest has actually come from his side as he wants to make sure his final college decision is one he fully believes in.
