Gaoteote is set on USC

As TrojanSports.com reported on Saturday, five-star linebacker Palaie Gaoteote is completely locked in with his commitment to USC.

This was reported because Gaoteote's father, Palaie Gaoteote III, told us his son is completely finished with recruiting. He then asked for details to be held until the news was announced publicly.

"It's USC, it's never been anyone else," Gaoteote told TrojanSports.com. "It's going to be USC."

When asked about potential visits to other schools, Gaoteote said those trips won't happen for his son.

"We're not interested in anyone, we're not looking anywhere else, we're not doing anything else," Gaoteote said.

Even Ohio State, the school rumored to be USC's biggest competition to Gaoteote, is out of it. Gaoteote made it clear his son won't visit the Buckeyes.

"We're not even taking that trip out there, we won't be taking any trips," Gaoteote said. "We actually just decided not to take the trips, we just literally today (Saturday) decided not to take the trips."

In fact, the star linebacker plans to sign a letter of intent with USC this month.

"We're going to early sign," Gaoteote said. "That's how committed we are, we're going to early sign in December."

Gaoteote won't be enrolling early at USC as early graduation isn't allowed at Bishop Gorman.
