Matt Leinart Named Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week
It took the Pac-10 nine weeks to figure it out, but the Trojans have a great offense to go with an amazing defense. This week a USC player was finally named the Pac-10 player of the week, and it might have even been the wrong guy. Congratulations to Matt Leinart for earning this honor with his 2nd consecutive 4 touchdowns, zero interception road game in a row.

Leinart beat out Adimchinobe Echemandu of California, Maurice Drew of UCLA, Terrence Whitehead of Oregon and Michael Bell of Arizona and receiver Scott Lunde of Washington State. However, the biggest competition may have come from his teammate Reggie Bush. Bush set a Trojan record for receiving yards by a back with 132, scored two touchdowns and amassed 270 total yards.
Will Poole was nominated for the Pac-10 defensive player of the week.
Other Trojans who won the award this year were Mike Patterson, Kenechi Udeze, Tom Malone and Ryan Killeen.
