MESQUITE, Nev. -- Troy Franklin is one of the most coveted 2021 wide receivers -- and one of the top-ranked prospects overall in his class -- and there's a few schools standing out in his recruitment at this point.

Franklin, the 4-star standout from Menlo-Atherton HS in Atherton, Calif., said Oregon, Washington, USC, LSU and recently Alabama have been the schools recruiting him the most consistently.

"Those are pretty much the guys that I'm focusing on right now," he told TrojanSports.com.

Franklin, ranked the No. 5 WR and No. 22 overall prospect in the 2021 class, had 43 catches for 674 yards and 9 touchdowns in just nine games last fall, according to MaxPreps. He also impressed at the big Pylon 7v7 tournament in Nevada this past weekend, contributing to the stacked FSP team out of Seattle, Wash.

Franklin, listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, glides down the field and is a major mismatch for defensive backs not only for his speed but his length. He's both a dynamic deep threat and a significant redzone weapon with his ability to go up and win 50-50 balls.
