Spring football schedule announced
Lane Kiffin's new era of Trojan football began with his return to USC last month, but it won't officially kick off until spring football commences on March 30. That will be the first time Kiffin, his father Monte Kiffin, Ed Orgeron and the rest of the staff get their first chance to mold a young, talented team into a contender.

Kiffin released his 2010 Spring Practice schedule on Monday. It is a series of 15 practices that span 33 days from starting on March 30 and ending with the Trojan Huddle on May 1.
There has been no official word on whether practices will be open to the public, but this will most likely be the case. Spring practices were always open under Pete Carroll and Kiffin kept his spring practices open while at Tennessee.
Under Carroll, the team would usually practice about four times a week, wrapping up the entire session in about four weeks.
Kiffin is spreading things out a bit more, practicing every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday over a five week span.
No official times were announced, but weekday practices should start around 3 p.m. while Saturday practices will likely start at 11 a.m. All practices will be on Howard Jones Field except for the Trojan Huddle at the Coliseum on May 1.
