The Elite gather for B2G

The B2G Elite Camp is beyond a decade old, and while the Southern California based training outfit has produced dozens of local stars for USC, this weekend's camp will also have a national flair.
As the USC Rising Stars Camp concluded Wednesday, the B2G Elite Camp gets underway Friday on the campus of UCLA. Several prospects will be attending both camps, including St. John Bosco junior quarterback Josh Rosen.
Rosen, who began the camp circuit this summer at the Rivals Five Star Challenge, is coming away from stellar performances at Stanford, Cal and UCLA. At 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, Rosen is a prototypical pro-style quarterback. At Stanford, Rosen reportedly showed off his big arm with a 73-yard bomb for the Cardinal coaching staff.
Rosen welcomes competition, and comes to the B2G Elite Camp in hopes of establishing himself as California's No. 1 quarterback prospect for 2015, which in turn will make him of of the nation's top quarterbacks in that class. Rosen will have plenty of receiver talent to pass to.
The biggest name hitting B2G this weekend will be River Ridge (La.) four-star Malachi Dupre. A big wide out at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, Dupre was considered by many as the best wide receiver at the Rivals Five Star Challenge. At this point, USC has not offered Dupre a scholarship and it appears neither party has had much recent contact.
Carmel (Ind.) four-star receiver Austin Roberts, Gallatin (Tenn.) four-star wide out Josh Malone and Gardena (Calif.) five-star athlete Adoree Jackson are all being recruited by USC. Jackson, although listed as a cornerback by some publications, he has made most of his big plays on the offensive side of the ball this summer.
At 5-foot-10, 180-pounds, Jackson is explosive, but raw as a wide out. After a great performance at USC this week where he scorched the track with a 4.40 electronically timed 40-yards dash, he will have the opportunity to play offense and defense at B2G Elite. If he chooses offense again, it signifies that his position of preference is becoming receiver.
Mission Hills (Calif.) junior wide out Desean Holmes is one of the few receivers on the West Coast who can match Jackson in quickness and agility. Holmes is slight, but with another year to develop, his skills set is being compared to that of Philadelphia wide out Desean Jackson by some.
Rounding out the USC targets at receiver, Westlake (La.) tight end and LSU commit Jacory Washington will take the role of the jumbo athlete at the camp. Measuring in a 6-foot-5, 198-pounds, Washington worked out as a receiver and a tight end at the USC Rising Stars Camp. A versatile pass catcher with size, Washington will be matched up against two big bodies at linebacker this weekend.
San Marcos (Calif.) linebacker Fred Warner and Gardena (Calif.) junior linebacker John Houston are similar frame wise at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds. Warner has played SAM and MIKE linebacker in passing league situations for B2G Five Star. Underrated for most of the spring, he committed to BYU.
Since the May Evaluation period, Warner has picked up several scholarship offers from PAC-12 schools, with USC being the most prominent of that group. Warner is a homegrown talent for B2G, playing for their traveling team week in and week out. That's a point of pride for B2G because Warner plays defensive end in high school. His development as a linebacker in coverage has been tremendous and he remains underrated as a prospect.
Houston may very well be underrated as well, but he still has another year to prove he is one of the best players to come out of Serra High School in recent memory. Houston represented the loaded class of 2015 for California in Chicago at the Rivals Five Star Challenge, and no less is expected of him this weekend. Houston versus Jacory Washington should be a notable match up.
The secondary may be the deepest position in terms of talent at the B2G Elite Camp. Bellflower (Calif.) four-star safety Jaleel Wadood and Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) four-star cornerback Quincy Wilson both have scholarship offers from USC. While Wadood is listed a safety, he is being recruited as a cornerback by most schools. Ironically, Wilson is listed as a cornerback, but has safety size at 6-foot-2.
After abruptly de-committing from Arizona State this week, Wadood says he is ready to make another commitment next week. Wadood lists USC, UCLA, Cal and Arizona as potential choices. Regardless of his decision next week, USC will likely remain a potential suitor for Wadood until late in the recruiting process.
River Ridge (La.) three-star cornerback Mattrell McGraw and Gardena (Calif.) three-star safety Glen Ihenacho do not have scholarship offers from USC. Ihenacho camped with USC three weeks ago and UCLA two weeks ago. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound safety is a ball hawk and a serious candidate for a Trojan scholarship offer. Word gets around fast, and B2G Elite may be the national setting to make that happen.
In the trenches, guards Damien Mama and junior Zach Okun will have their hands full with a host of pass rushers. The camp is led by Bellflower (Calif.) four-star linebacker/defensive Malik Dorton. Where Dorton plays will be intriguing, as he plays defensive end at St. John Bosco, but is being recruited as an outside linebacker by several school, including USC.
To this point, there has been little evaluation done on Dorton as a linebacker in space. At 6-foot-3, 230-pounds, he will have ample time to jump back and forth between pass rushing drills and 7-on-7.
Clovis (Calif.) junior defensive tackle Jacob Daniel and Gardena (Calif.) junior defensive end Rasheem Green represent two of the camp's future stars. Both players already have a handful of scholarship offers from big time football powers, with Green earning a ride from USC in May.
Green and Daniel could end up playing two different positions on the line - interior and exterior. But bragging rights for No. 1 defensive linemen in the California 2015 class will be at stake nonetheless. If either can get the best of Damien Mama, it would go a long way in establishing dominance. will have complete coverage of the B2G Elite Camp, including video, photo and analysis.
