As the football season winds down, recruiting season is heating up, so this week in the USCFootball.com War Room we have the inside scoop on USC's in-home visit with five-star defensive end Ronald Powell.
We also have official visitor news, an update on players and coaches that could be gone after the season, and a surprise member of the class of 2010 that could have a huge impact on the team.
More details of what is inside:
One on the top priorities for the class of 2010 is Moreno Valley (Calif.) five-star defensive end Ronald Powell. Powell, down to Florida and USC, was thought to be a strong lean to the Gators, but a recent in-home visit by the Trojans may have changed the game. We have all the details in the War Room.
The Trojans had eight official visitors in town for the UCLA game, and we have an update on each of them, including their likelihood to sign with the Trojans. We also update the visit list for this weekend, when USC takes on Arizona.
A few months ago we gave an War Room update on Joe McKnight and his intension to test the NFL waters after the season. We have a new update on this dynamic situation and tell you why McKnight may have changed his mind. We also update a couple of other underclassmen with the potential to go pro.
With plenty of four and five-star talent at the skill positions already committed for the class of 2010, why does one coach think the player having the biggest impact will be a kicker? We have the story in the War Room.
Rumors swirled this week regarding quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates and his potential departure back to the NFL after this season. We talk about what Bates said, and what he didn't say, that add credence to these rumors.
Plus plenty more!
The one rule we have for the War Room is simply that everything that is reported here should stay here and on The Peristyle. Sometimes the info is sensitive enough that it simply does not need to be passed on beyond the doors of this thread.
