USC's on-campus football camps continue to pay off for the Trojan coaching staff. This weekend, USC held a 7-on-7 tournament and extended several scholarship offers to local prospects after seeing them compete in person.

One player to receive a scholarship offer was Braedin Huffman-Dixon, an impressive athlete from Eleanor Roosevelt HS in Corona, Calif.

"They had the tournament (Saturday)," Huffman-Dixon said when asked about the scholarship offer from USC. "I guess you could call it a showcase. I just showcased my talents. And then Coach (Tee) Martin and Coach (Clay) Helton offered me."

After watching the 6-foot-2 and 175-pounder in that type of setting, USC's staff realized he's a priority 2019 recruit.

"They were like, they wanted to be one of the first and offer me early," Huffman-Dixon said. "They said they would love to have me here They love my overall play, how I am as a receiver and an athlete. How I find the ball, how I attack the ball, my speed, my routes."

While it seems like USC is interested in Huffman-Dixon as a receiver, he's a versatile football player who's listed as an athlete by Rivals.com. And when asked about his potential position at USC, the young prospect says USC did not specify anything.

It doesn't seem to matter because Huffman-Dixon has USC as his favorite school.

"The top," Huffman-Dixon said when asked where USC stands for him. "It was a big school and they're in my top four overall schools that I wanted to have an offer from. So they're at the top."

When asked for more specifics, Huffman-Dixon points to a few different factors that makes USC stand out.

"They're a powerhouse," Huffman-Dixon said. "I love the coaches, I love the staff. I felt at home, which is the most important. And then just the level of play. That's big time college football and I want to be a part of it."

He also says he grew up a USC fan and has family who are diehard Trojans.

"I'm not a hardcore fan, that's more of my uncle," Huffman-Dixon said. "But it's a school I've always wanted growing up in Cali. It's right there, it's home."

So when he eventually releases a list of favorite schools, it seems safe to assume the Trojans will make it in.

"I don't have an official list yet," Huffman-Dixon said.

But apparently, big news could be coming soon.

"It's in the works right now," Huffman-Dixon said when asked about a top list. "I'm waiting a little longer to see if I get some more schools that I'm really interested in. And then hopefully I get those soon and I will be able to make my decision."

As for upcoming visits, Huffman-Dixon says he plans to start visiting schools for college football games in September.
