USC Gets 4th First Team All-American

Three Trojans have made a couple of All-American lists so far, but one special player has not seen his name called… until now. Trojan punter Tom Malone led the nation in punt average at nearly 50 yards per kick, but did not get enough attempts to be recognized as the statistical leader.
The Trojan offense scored so often that Malone had too few attempts to qualify as the top punter. However, Sports Illustrated still felt that Malone’s 49.2-yard average on 39 punts including 13 inside the 20 was enough to put him on their first team All-American list.

Joining Tom were junior defensive end Kenechi Udeze , senior offensive tackle Jacob Rogers and sophomore wide receiver Mike Williams.
On the Sports Illustrated second team All-American list was sophomore quarterback Matt Leinart.
Congrats to all the Trojans on the list!
