What Off-Season More USC Football Action

The roller coaster ride that has been Mike Williams’ status appears to be taking an unexpected turn. Mike announced that he would apply for reinstatement in an attempt to come back to school and play for USC again. There are still many hurdles to overcome, but Trojan fans could be seeing BMW destroy all of the school’s receiving records in 2004.
Since Mike hired agent Mike Azzarelli, all ties with him must be severed for the NCAA to reinstate him. There are also questions about his academic eligibility because he dropped all of his spring semester classes. Most likely Mike would need to do some course work this summer to be able to play this fall.

As of now, Mike no longer has an agent and has filed the paperwork to get this process started. He has stated that this isn’t a slam-dunk, but there is certainly a chance he will be wearing cardinal and gold in 2004.
Mike will eventually move back to campus and live with D. Hale. He will not be working out or enrolling in any classes just yet. He is going to wait until the conditions for a possible reinstatement are handed down from the NCAA.
Note: The game at BYU originally scheduled on September 4th, 2004 was moved to September 18, 2004. It will now be shown live on ESPN.
