White's visit 'an eye-opener'

USC is still looking for help in the defensive backfield and the answer might four-star JuCo safety Kyzir White.

White, a 6-foot-2 210-pound prospect from Scranton, Pennsylvania Lackawanna C.C. is currently committed to West Virginia, but a scholarship offer from USC in late December piqued his interest. That’s why he made it to USC on the first weekend after the dead period

“We first came in and got dinner and everything, we saw the facilities, the campus, the weight room, went on the football field, the locker room, took pictures, did a photo shoot, so I got kind of the whole feel of what it’s like to be at ‘SC and everything,” White said. “And then we did some more eating, stuff like that, got around the guys, went out a little bit, saw downtown Los Angeles and stuff like that so it was a pretty cool experience.”

It’s fair to say that White was throughly impressed with USC.

“It was a great place to be, I’ve never seen anything like it,” White said. “I like USC a lot, I like it a lot, I just needed to get out here and see for myself what it’s about because I’ve never been here before so coming out this weekend definitely was an eye-opener. I see everything it has to offer and stuff like that.”

White is now sold on what USC’s brand could do for his future.

“It speaks for itself, USC speaks for itself, I don’t really have to say too much about that,” White said. “When you see an ‘SC logo you know what it stands for.”

In fact, he might not even take an official visit to another school.

“Penn State and West Virginia were my next couple of visits but I’m not sure which route I’m going to take yet as far as taking those visits because coming up here I kind of got an eye opener about everything that USC has to offer,” White said. “USC is kind of in a different bracket.”

He’s also fairly certain that his family will take out to Los Angeles soon.

“My family is probably actually going to be, like my mom and my brother, they’re probably going to come up this week or sometime soon to come back up, see the facilities because they didn’t get to come up on this trip,” White said.

When White was on campus, he was hosted by Ajene Harris and he also stuck close to Keynodo Hudson, who’s recruiting him to USC. It’s fair to say those two did an excellent job as White had a stellar trip. White also finally got to meet his future position coach, Ronnie Bradford.

“I got to meet him, over a ten year NFL vet and everything,” White said.

White says he’ll make a final decision on signing day.
