USC hosted six of the top 21-ranked wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class on official visits through this month of June, and so far the Trojans are still waiting for one of those recruiting battles to play out in their favor.

They have a shot Sunday as Rivals100 four-star receiver Corey Simms, out of St. Louis, Missouri, is set to announce his decision at 2 p.m. PT between the Trojans, Penn State and in-state Missouri.

Simms talked to Rivals about his three finalists earlier this month and said this:

“They all have different things to be honest," Simms said. "Mizzou, they don't have a lot of receivers on roster and it’s a lot of opportunity to play early. And it's the hometown.

“USC has probably the best offense in the country. Coming out with 10 personnel plus Lincoln Riley the head coach likes to throw the ball a lot. Penn State is just dogs. It's like real football out there. I feel like I can fit in with all three of them. It's just all about what I want.”

Simms opened June with official visits to Penn State and USC, then cancelled a planned trip to Nebraska and closed with an OV to Missouri.

He left his June 7-9 USC visit feeling very strongly about the Trojans.

"I haven’t felt this good about [a] school since I started this process. I feel like I belong a Trojan," Simms told TrojanSports.com at the time. "Talking with coach Riley and coach [Dennis] Simmons on the way they will use me makes me want to play right now. I enjoyed the campus, the recruiting staff and the overall culture. My parents got the opportunity to talk with coaches and get a feel for the school. They absolutely loved it. Also, my opportunity to come in develop under Coach Simmons is huge."

That was three weeks ago, though. The question is, did that visit continue to resonate enough to weather a final push from the in-state Missouri Tigers as Simms now plans to announce his commitment decision?

We'll find out soon enough.
