USC's two-way revolving door with the NCAA transfer portal keeps on turning.

A day after having wide receiver Joseph Manjack IV enter the portal, the Trojans added a wide receiver in Washington transfer Terrell Bynum.

Bynum, who has one year of eligibility remaining, is from Long Beach and attended St. John Bosco High School.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound receiver was a four-star Rivals250 prospect in the 2017 recruiting class.

He had his best season with the Huskies this fall as a fifth-year redshirt junior, catching 26 passes for 436 yards and 4 TDs. For his collegiate career, he has 65 catches for 934 yards and 6 TDs.

The Trojans' top returning wide receivers are Tahj Washington (54 catches for 602 yards and 1 TD), Bryant (44-579-7) and Kyle Ford (19-252-2). USC has been aggressive in the transfer portal for wide receivers in particular, also offering Akron's Konota Mumpfield, who committed to Pitt, and Wyoming's Isaiah Neyor among known offers.

Bynum makes a lot of sense as a one-year option who can plug in and provide depth for the unit without tying up a roster spot beyond 2022, when USC has an elite 2023 WR recruiting class in place.

He had two 100-yard receiving games this season, catching 5 passes for 115 yards and a TD vs. Michigan and 5 for 143 and a TD vs. Arizona.

Beyond Washington, Bryant and Ford, USC also returns 2021 freshman Michael Jackson III (12 catches for 116 yards), veteran John Jackson III (3-16), 2021 freshman Kyron Ware-Hudson (2-4) and speedy Texas transfer Jake Smith, who missed his first season at USC with a foot injury, at wide receiver, and tight ends Malcolm Epps (10-173-1 TD), Michael Trigg (7-109), Lake McRee (7-91) and Jude Wolfe (8-56). Former five-star WR Bru McCoy’s status remains unclear after he was away from the team all season due to a disciplinary matter.

Bynum is the third transfer addition for USC overall, following TCU DT Earl Barquet and Virginia OT Bobby Haskins, while the Trojans have had 10 scholarship players enter the portal.
