According to Scott Wolf of the Daily News, USC received an oral commitment Tuesday from Daniel Urquhart. Urquhart is a middle linebacker from Los Angeles Southwest College.

Urquhart is 6 foot 4, 250 pounds and runs a 4.7 40 yard dash.

Signed with Oregon out of LA's Washington High School in 1999. Will have three years to play two and could be a mid-term graduate if things fall right. "If he gets with the right program," LA Southwest coach Henry Washington said. "And they push the right buttons, then the sky is the limit." All league performer at middle linebacker in 2000.

There is a possibility he could enroll for the spring semester, although it is likely he will arrive in the fall.

He was named an All-Western State Conference Pacific Division first-team selection this week.
