USC had a full slate of official visitors on campus for its first big recruiting weekend since the the NCAA lifted the prolonged dead period.

After hosting 2022 Rivals100 WR CJ Williams and OLB David Bailey for unofficial visits Wednesday, and several key 2023 prospects during the week (S RJ Jones, CB Jshawn Frausto-Ramos, S Michael Daugherty, DT Francis Mauigoa), the weekend has been especially loaded.

The official visitor list includes 5-star OG Devon Campbell (Arlington, Texas), 4-star Rivals100 RB Gavin Sawchuk (Highlands Ranch, Colo.), 4-star Rivals250 WR Shazz Preston (St. James, La.), 4-star Rivals250 WR DJ Allen (Gladewater, Texas), 4-star CB Jaeden Gould (Oradell, N.J), 3-star WR Nicholas Anderson (Katy, Texas), 3-star OT Austin Kawecki (Frisco, Texas) and 3-star ILB commit Ty Kana (Katy, Texas).

All of the expected official visitors arrived as planned.

Four-star Rivals100 WR Tetairoa McMillan (Servite HS) then showed up Saturday for an unofficial visit, which is another good sign for the Trojans' chances with the top playmaker.

Also, 4-star Rivals250 RB Jovantae Barnes (Las Vegas, Nev.) had an unofficial visit Sunday, along with his Desert Pines HS teammate, 2023 WR Deandre Moore.

As for the official visitors, they were brought to SoFi Stadium on Friday night to kickoff the weekend's events, as USC made use the video boards in the state-of-the-art NFL stadium to make a L.A. splash. They recruits also had dinner there as a group. The Trojans can't tweet out photos of the recruits, but the program's official Twitter account posted photos of some of the current players who were in attendance.

In addition to the usual campus tour and meeting time with the coaches and some current players, I'm told USC made a very compelling presentation on the Name, Image, Likeness opportunities and potential that will exist for college athletes in Los Angeles.

The visiting recruits also went to the beach Saturday to get a flavor for what the area has to offer on a typical off day, before having dinner at the Santa Monica Pier.

We're trying to check in with each of the visitors and will have stories as we connect with the prospects.

Meanwhile, here are some photos that the prospects and their families have tweeted out from the weekend ...
